At St. Philomena’s Hospital, we believe that spirituality is a vital part of human wholeness and plays an important role in the healing process. Therefore, we strive to give you and your family all the comfort and support you need through:
– Pastoral leadership
– A compassionate presence
– Empathetic listening
– Engaging educational opportunities
– Counselling and support in crisis and grief
We respect all spiritual and religious beliefs, and attempt to connect with individuals who are facing the emotional and spiritual impact of illness and crisis. Our chaplains help people deal with issues of fear, loneliness, ethical dilemma, and questions of meaning and hopelessness.
The Department of Pastoral Care is committed to caring for the spiritual needs of patients, families, and staff. We provide spiritual support to people of all faith traditions. Our personnel are readily available to explore spiritual questions and concerns with patients and their families.
