Dr. Jamila Koshy has worked in the army, in public, private and Christian hospitals in several metro cities both before and after specialising in psychological medicine. Have experience in OPD and in-patient care of psychiatric patients, liaison care of referral patients, online counselling, and also some community psychiatry work. Treated patients from adult, child and geriatric populations with the full range of psychiatric problems with pharmacotherapy, various forms of psychotherapy, behaviour therapy, marital therapy and group therapy. Have been involved with setting up a 24-hour psychiatric helpline, teaching medical and para-medical students and conducting numerous awareness programmes on various mental health issues for patients, caregivers, students and general groups.
