A long-cherished dream of the St. Philomena’s Hospital has been fulfilled
with the inauguration of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) facility by
SRI. DINESH GUNDU RAO, the Honorable Minister for Health & Family
Welfare, Government of Karnataka, at the St. Philomena’s Hospital here, on
September 19, 2024 evening.
In his inaugural address, the Honorable Minister Acknowledged and
congratulated the Service done by the St. Philomena’s Hospital for the State
over a period of eight decades. He also added this Hospital always included the
poor and the weaker sections of the society. The poor people never deprived of
their treatment in this hospital. The Hospital always facilitated the quality
treatment available in the hospital to help the poor patients.”
He also added “When a patient comes to the hospital, he must be given
all types of diagnosis under one roof. Hence the new MRI unit has been added
to the quality facilities already available in the hospital. Due to the advance
technologies, the life of doctors has become easy. Now we can diagnosis
diseases more precisely and early with the help of advanced equipment and treat
the diseases accordingly.”
The inauguration of the MRI is a part of the efforts put by the
Administrator Sr. Sandhya to make all the possible health facilities available in
the hospital for the benefit of the poor. She also said in her welcome address
that “Through the new MRI unit we have increased our diagnosis standards. We
believe in quality and we do not want to disappoint any patient who comes here
for the tertiary healthcare.”
